About the Client

The Heritage Hotel and Function Centre is a restaurant and bar in “Old Petrie Town” in Northern Brisbane that specialises mainly as a wedding venue.

1. Logo Re-Creation

Brief

The Heritage Hotel wanted its logo re-created in vector form as they only had a low-resolution jpeg version.

The Work

I imported the supplied image into Illustrator and set the layer as a template. Then, using the template, I traced over the image to re-create the logo.

2. Wedding Information Booklets

Overview

A series of informational booklets outlining wedding packages, venues and reception details.

Brief

Heritage Hotel wanted a series of 3 booklets designed and templated to showcase their wedding packages and venues. In addition, they wanted a similar feel to flow over all three booklets, making the design look classy and minimal.

The Work

The first thing I looked at was creating a logo header for each booklet that they could also use on their website. These logos reflected a minimalist design yet sophisticated feel.
The clients supplied the text for the books in a Word Document. Then, importing the Word Document into Adobe Indesign, I could start templating how the text would sit in the book.

3. Outdoor Banner

Overview

A banner used for outdoor use invites customers to enquire about wedding packages.

Brief

Heritage Hotel wanted the design of an outdoor banner. The banner had to be creative yet easily read and visible from a distance.

The Work

Using the supplied images from the client, I could layout a simple, elegant and visually appealing design. The design incorporated a large central logo with the two images on either side fading into the centre. The contact information was then placed in the centre bottom of the banner, making it easy to read from a distance.
